Dr. Farzana Hoque Sharmy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Saint Louis University. She is a dedicated educator currently serving as internship clerkship co-director, as well as precepting and mentoring medical students and residents. Dr. Hoque is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hoque has received numerous prestigious honors from the American College of Physicians (ACP) including earning the coveted Young Achiever award for three consecutive years. She is a past winner of the competitive ACP Missouri Chapter Early Career Physician Award. Dr. Hoque has been invited as a keynote speaker at the Society of Hospital Medicine 2021 National Annual Conference. In addition, she has also presented at the ACP National conference on several occasions. She is a manuscript reviewer for the Annals of Internal Medicine, British Medical Journal. Besides medicine, Dr. Hoque received Nazrul Sangeet vocal training from the prestigious music school of Bangladesh, Chhayanaut Sangeet Vidyatan, and has received awards in juried competitions.
