Fellowship GuidLine
Applications are invited for travelling fellowships to visit a cardiothoracic surgery centre in the UK or USA under the sponsorship of Planetary health Academia. It is designed to enhance the experience of the applicant in preparation for a career as a specialist Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon and learn advanced skills.

The observership offer is subject to occupational health clearance, criminal record check and other requirements of the overseas hospital where the observer will be placed.
Applications will be judged on:
Clinical experience (including log book), presentation and publications, leadership Skills, essential Criteria, interview Score and regular attendance at PHA sessions

Experience 3 years of experience following postgraduation in CT surgery 5 years of experience following postgraduation in CT surgery

Nationality Bangladeshi Citizen
Leadership Skills Excellent leadership skills. Evidence of ability to lead a clinical team at the level of a specialist in a teaching hospital. Courses or certificates on leadership skills
Professional - extra skills or achievements Evidence of significant contribution to successful teamwork Experience of organising and developing new procedures
Communication and interpersonal skills Good spoken and written English. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. Computing skills: ability to use a word processor, spreadsheet programme, and web browser.
Research skills Peer reviewed publications /audits Research grants
Work experience General training in adult cardiac surgery. To have the potential to develop and grow in experience within a team structure Logbook evidence of subspecialty experience
Teaching and training skills Experience of formal and informal contributions to teaching and training. Courses on teaching and training. Faculty in courses.
